Q. Do I have to pay to attend the Scottish Learning Festival?
No, the Learning Festival is free for everyone to attend. All seminars, keynotes and the exhibition are completely free due to funding from the Scottish Government Education Directorate.
Q. What are the opening times of the Scottish Learning Festival
The Scottish Learning Festival is open on Wednesday 24 September from 09.00-17.30 and Thursday 25 September from 09.00-17.00.
Q. Is there a limit on how many staff a school can send?
There is no limit to the number of staff a school can send; in fact many schools use the Scottish Learning Festival as a staff development day. We would be happy to help with group bookings, email the Scottish Learning Festival team for more information.
Q. How do I get a copy of the Scottish Learning Festival programme?
To request a copy of the programme email The Scottish Learning Festival team or call LT Scotland Customer Services on 08700 100 297.
Q. Do I have to pre-book seminars?
If there are particular seminars that you would like to attend it is essential to book in advance as each seminar has a limited number of seats that are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Any remaining seminar tickets can be obtained from the seminar ticket desk in Hall 4 of the SECC.
Q. Can I attend the exhibition only?
Yes, you can come along to the exhibition only, go to registration page. If you wish to attend seminars once you’re at the Scottish Learning Festival any remaining seminar tickets can be collected from the seminar ticket desk in Hall 4 of the SECC.
Q. Is there a limit to the number of seminars that I can attend each day?
Each person can pre-book to attend all keynotes and two spotlights or seminars per day. You can attend additional seminars on the day, any remaining seminar tickets can be obtained from the seminar ticket desk in Hall 4 of the SECC.
Q. Can I check that my booking has been processed?
To check your booking please call the Scottish Learning Festival hotline on 0870 421 1938. Confirmation of your booking will be sent by email. You will receive your badge and seminar tickets approximately three weeks prior to the Scottish Learning Festival.

Q. Do I have to book for the sessions within the Scottish Education Village?
No. The sessions are informal and attendees to the Scottish Learning Festival can drop by the Scottish Education Village at any time over the two days of the Festival.
