Thorntree Primary School sent in the following details of its Homecoming activities...
We took part in the Bridgeton Burns Competition where the Junior Choir came first. The Choir sang a selection of Burns songs at Asda Parkhead by special invitation, and on Saturday they were invited by the Glasgow Burns Association to sing at an event in the City Chambers.
We also held a Scots/Burns poetry recital where each stage learned a poem and performed them to the whole school. The children enjoyed shortbread and Scottish water as part of their celebrations.
