Rhu Primary School sent in the following details about its Homecoming activities...
At Rhu Primary School P1, 2 and 3 celebrated Homecoming Scotland by working together in three groups. They enjoyed a fabulous interactive storytelling session and learned more about Scottish dialect. They tasted a wide variety of Scottish foods and experimented weaving a tartan design using different materials.
P4, 5, 6 and 7 visited Celtic Connections at the Royal Concert Hall to appreciate the talent of a variety of Scottish musicians.
A Burns expert joined P5 and 6 to celebrate Scottish songs and poetry.
Each class recited a Scottish poem in a whole school assembly. Everyone dressed in tartan for the occasion.
P2 performed 'Twa' Leggit Mice' in a Glow Meet with other primary schools across Scotland.
