Grantown Playgroup sent in the following details of its Homecoming activities...
They celebrated the 250th birthday of Robert Burns by sampling a range of Scottish food, including pancakes and jam, oatcakes and cheese, cranachan and raspberries, and finally haggis, neeps and tatties.
They read stories and rhymes by Scottish authors and learnt several new songs.
They had a very comprehensive Interest table and a range of Highland dress items for the children to look at. The children designed their own tartans and on Friday they wore something tartan to Playgroup.
