Homecoming activities at Lossiemouth High School

Lossiemouth High School sent in the following details of its Homecoming activities...

S1/2 pupils have already worked with a film-maker and sound artist and produced an outdoor sound and visual installation projected onto the walls of a local ancient monument. This was done in partnership with Historic Scotland.

The local myths and legends used as inspiration have continued to be of interest and they are now learning about the Picts, Romans and Vikings and looking at the real Macbeth through film and animations.

They're also studying and making connections with Japan, including Doric haikus and Doric sushi! 2009 is a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the signing of a treaty between Britain and Japan which was signed on behalf of the British by Lord Elgin.
