The nursery class has been weaving, making tartan paintings, and tartan pot pourri bags for the children to give to their parents, as well as looking at different tartans and making a tartan display.

The whole school participated along with guests from a local primary with everyone taking part in country dancing, poetry recitations and singing.

As part of their Homecoming celebrations the school will be holding a 'Hint of Tartan Day' which will consist of a traditional Burns Supper at lunch time and wearing some tartan to school for the day.

Pupils are learning Scottish dancing in order to take part in a family ceilidh.

Pupils designed a T-shirt to celebrate the diversity of the school and the people who call Scotland 'home'.

Pupils have been holding different events for a fortnight in January including the performance of poetry, music and song with live musicians. A number of classes have provided art work to decorate the hall for this experience.

St TimothyPupils sang a new Homecoming song at Glasgow Cathedral for the Feast of St Mungo and at the opening of Calton Fire Station.

They made the school aware of this important event by making computerised posters about the Bard, presenting each pupil with a personalised bookmark which they had made on the computer and finished off with a flourish of tartan ribbon.

The children in the choir took part in a Burns competition and came first.
