Alloa Academy sent in the following details about its Homecoming activities...
Alloa Academy held its annual Burns Supper on 4th February. The event was completely arranged by senior pupils. The immortal memory was given by George Reid, former MSP for the area. S2 will be involved in a Scottish afternoon in June which will involve all of S2 taking part in various activities linked to Scottish culture.
Apart from the obvious areas of English literature, the Creative and Aesthetic faculty will be involved with Scottish music and Scottish Art, with Physical Education holding a ceilidh for all pupils in the year group with some local community dancers supporting them. Home Economics will also be looking at various Scottish foods and allowing all pupils to try them. All other faculties will be involved in some way to support the event.
