
National Museums Scotland (NMS) welcomes schools, teachers and pupils to enjoy a range of superb collections at its five museums. It offers rich resources for learning and teaching, with a full programme of workshops and activities for schools, CPD opportunities, outreach, on-line resources and support for self-led class visits for subjects and topics across age ranges and curricular areas.
NMS is the country's national museum service. Its collections cover archaeology, Scottish history, technology, art and design, fashion, science and technology, and world cultures. There are five museum sites which open to the public, each showing different parts of the collections:

Museum on the Move!
'Museum on the Move' is a set of touring learning resources linked to the study of the Picts, Romans and Egyptians. These include handling objects and replicas, interactive activities and online resources. 'Museum on the Move' resources are available in several areas across Scotland, including Angus, Dumfries and Galloway, East Ayrshire, Renfrewshire and Shetland.
