Telling the story

St Paul’s vision was of improvement in five key areas of,

• achievement and attainment,
• widening horizons,
• building self confidence and social skills,
• building positive new traditions and
• raising aspirations.

The school has brought a direct focus on each individual pupil, with a highly developed tracking system and the systematic recording of achievement. Pupils have been given a much greater voice within the school, and developing stronger partnerships with families, Careers Scotland and business, has helped develop pupils’ employability skills.

Enhancing ‘Learning beyond the classroom’ provides many new opportunities for pupils and has supported much greater collaboration between departments. A creative approach to the traditional ‘Parents Night’ has greatly increased parental involvement.
