Programme for Transformational Change

The school’s vision is about Ò'hanging lives through creativity'. Initially building on successes in art and design and music, the attitudes, skills and insights that underpin creativity were explored. Approaches to developing creativity have been promoted across the curriculum, and are now firmly embedded in classroom practice. Potentially vulnerable pupils are being targeted and supported through specialised programmes.

The development of Pupil Leadership has been highly successful, with many pupils having taken part in residential leadership training opportunities that the school is confident of sustaining. The challenges deriving from the school’s leadership experience is having a positive impact on school ethos. These initiatives have successfully enhanced the school’s profile within the local community and beyond.
