Telling the story

The original bid from Braeview Academy identified four project areas that would transform the school and lead to increased aspirations and achievement for its pupils.

Performance Facilities – provide opportunities for pupils to engage with the Arts by constructing drama, dance and performance facilities

Learning Community – enhance the curricular and extra-curricular experiences for learners by creating an engaging and motivating environment for learning and by developing innovating and creative teaching and learning strategies

Leadership – through a range of activities, develop leadership in the broadest sense in pupils, staff and school managers

Increasing aspirations – amongst other things, the school has engaged with a range of partners agencies in order to provide educational experiences which will increase self-confidence and aspirations, for example Cultural Co-ordinators and Dundee Rep Theatre.
