Programme for Transformational Change

Auchenharvie Academy’s School of Ambition plan aims to raise the ambitions and broaden the horizons of its pupils in order to prepare them for the challenges of life after school. The school wants to instil in all pupils the belief that they can be successful in life and aims to improve their health and motivation through an enhanced health education programme, a more active lifestyle and increased involvement in sport.

Auchenharvie will introduce new activities both within the curriculum and before and after the school day. Pupils, staff and the community will be supported to develop a healthy lifestyle through the key themes of diet, active lifestyles, positive mental health and wellbeing.

The 'active' approach of the plan has the ultimate aim of improving attainment levels and recognising wider achievement. Auchenharvie’s young people will be offered a curriculum with a wider range of opportunities for all in a positive environment which celebrates and rewards their success.
