Transformational planning

Once accepted on to the programme, schools have to write a plan that sets out the actions they intend to take.

Key themes

Each school on the programme is very different but there are key similarities in the areas they have identified as critical to achieving success.

Schools of Ambition research

The schools involved in the Schools of Ambition programme are being supported by an action research strategy which is designed to be schools and teacher led.

Schools of Ambition Support team

As well as receiving additional funding, all schools are supported by a senior adviser from the Schools of Ambition Support team.

Schools of Ambition

The Scottish Government provides additional funding for three years to secondary schools that are accepted on to the programme.

The programme stimulates ambition in young people and provides them with new opportunities.
