National Assessments 5-14
Assessment materials designed to be used by teachers in Scottish schools to confirm their judgements about pupils' levels of attainment in reading, writing and mathematics. National Assessments are based on the attainment outcomes and strands set out in the relevant National Guidelines 5-14.

Nuffield Primary Design and Technology
A website dedicated to primary design and technology provided by the Nuffield Foundation. It contains a showcase of pupils' work, classroom materials to download and other useful information and ideas for teachers.

Nuffield Secondary Design and Technology
Promotes the teaching and learning of design and technology. Includes information and resources on electronic products, food technology, graphic products, product design and textiles. Supports key stages 3 and 4 of the English curriculum (ages 11–14 and 14–16).

Oral presentations
Encouraging pupils to talk to an audience is an excellent way of boosting their confidence and self-esteem. This resource provides guidance in the process of reflecting on their audience, selecting appropriate content, and deciding on how to enhance their presentation, whether it be through using visual aids, giving a slideshow presentation, or acting out a dramatic sketch.

Organising information
Pupils can discover how to make lists, tables and frequency tables, and how to sort and compare information by organising their data in spreadsheets and bar charts. Notes for teachers and parents are provided.

Poster design
Find out how to design eye-catching and effective posters, leaflets and displays, using a variety of design tips. Pupils will learn how to select appropriate pictures and writing and make use of the best colours, balance and white space.

A learning resource database (search by grade, keyword or subject area) with access to an abundance of resources for immediate use. Also provides users the ability to share new and innovative lessons. Registration required.
