Title Rotech
Description

In 1994, Ken Stewart, a chartered accountant, was approached by a client, Dr Hector Susman, who had been given an opportunity to buy a company that provided offshore maintenance services. As a physicist, Dr Susman could see the technical potential of this company but he needed the financial management which Ken could provide. This complementary blending of technical and financial skills is the origin of Rotech.

The initial concept was straightforward. The company offered engineering maintenance for the machinery used in the offshore oil industry. However, Hector could see how to improve the service as well as seeing opportunities to develop new products using up-to-date technology.
