| Description | Andrew Sinclair launched Resipole Studios in July 2004 after a two-year renovation of an agricultural byre. Much of the reconstruction work was carried out by Andrew himself, using local materials. It was financed with a loan from PSYBT and a grant from the Scottish Executive Environment and Rural Affairs Department. The resulting gallery provides space for two resident artists, four visiting students and also for a framing workshop. An arts graduate himself, Andrew recognised the need not only for professional gallery space in his home area but also for professional studio facilities which enable resident and visiting artists to access high quality resources in a truly inspirational Highland setting. The gallery displays work to cater for all tastes and Andrew aims to provide particular support to up-and-coming young artists. Through its website, mailshots and a forthcoming brochure, the gallery will be advertised both to the passing tourist trade and to the burgeoning arts tourism market. Andrew also hopes that Resipole Studios will become a focus of local artistic activity. ContactResipole Studios Tel: 01967 431506
