| Description | The original concept for Hygiene First centred on the increasing demands and legislation for business to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment. Starting off by cleaning large commercial bins, the business quickly developed after the nationwide facilities management company City Refrigeration Services gave Hygiene First a trial to clean compactor bays at an ASDA store. Patrick and Neil now provide a range of water and steam-based cleaning services at ASDA stores across Scotland and other parts of the UK on behalf of City Refrigeration. They also picked up some other excellent high profile contracts with construction companies and retail park managers across Scotland. The last 12 months has seen significant growth and a newly introduced, unique chewing gum removal process, generating a lot of interest. Negotiations are ongoing for several other major cleaning contracts that will result in expansion of the business with more vans and more staff covering work across the country. With an increasing problem of discarded chewing gum in public spaces and the current high profile of this issue in the media, Hygiene First is gearing up and looking forward to an exciting period of expansion. |
