Description

This resource has detailed instructions on how to use Microsoft Excel to create pie charts and line, bar, climate and scatter graphs. It relates to geography but could equally well be used in many other subjects where information can be shown in the form of graphs.

There is a supplementary exercise for Higher and Advanced Higher students on using spreadsheets to construct hydrographs.

If using on a mac, please note that a few of the diagrams may not display correctly.

To view an Excel file you will need to have MS Excel installed on your machine. Click on the name of the Excel spreadsheet to open it.
Access files icon Access Database
To open or save an Access file you will need to have MS Access installed on your machine. Click on the name of the Access database to save it to your computer.
