Title Fifth Ring
Description

In 1991, Ian Ord and Clif Collier sat at a kitchen table at Clif's home with a telephone, some stationery, two cups and a kettle. This, although only they knew it, was the beginning of Fifth Ring. Today, Fifth Ring has 38 staff, has contacts in 178 companies and has completed over 10,000 jobs in 12 years.

Ian and Clif came from differing specialisms: Ian, a PR/advertising man and Clif a designer. They had considerable experience in the marketing and design fields and noticed a gap in the industry.

Ian Ord explains Fifth Ring:

'We noticed there were many businesses offering a 'single shot' solution. They would specialise in advertising or public relations or design. We realised there was an opening for an integrated corporate communications service. We would take the marketing communications effort away from a business, draw on our combined skills and create an integrated offering to convey the company's core messages consistently to all stakeholders.'
