| Description | Isla carried out extensive market research into the viability of starting a business centred around a canine hydrotherapy referral centre. As a qualified veterinary nurse Isla already had contacts with many veterinary practices in Fife and central Scotland and was able to make use of these contacts. Having received positive feedback Isla began trading in March 2004. Isla's business consists of a specially designed indoor swimming pool for dogs in need of rehabilitation after an injury. All dogs are referred by their vets. She firmly believes in the success of hydrotherapy in the treatment of dogs and, as there is only one other such practice in Scotland, Isla sees scope for development by offering training to other potential practitioners. Isla's loan of £5000 from PSYBT was used to help in the purchase of equipment in setting up her business. ContactCanine Health and Fitness Centre
