Race equality policy and guidelines

Every school must have a race equality policy.

In some areas, education authorities have devised a policy for all to adopt. In others, a framework has been provided around which schools can devise a policy tailored to circumstances.

Either way, the law requires that an up-to-date policy is maintained by the authority with arrangements in place to assess and monitor impact.
