Paper for the Management Board - Skills for learning, skills for life, skills for work - progress update

A paper presented to the Curriculum for Excellence Management Board on 29 August 2008.

A paper presented to the Curriculum for Excellence Management Board on  about the production of a publication that describes how skills for learning, skills for life and skills for work will be delivered though Curriculum for Excellence.

Three main elements of work are described:

• Undertaking athematic review of the experiences and outcomes to ensure they provide opportunities for all children and young people to develop skills for learning, skills for life and skills for work.

• Development of guidance for all those involved in planning and delivering the curriculum in whatever setting to ensure there are opportunities for skills development for all young people.

• Providing examples of good practice in the delivery of skills in a range of settings including oppportunities for experiential learning.
