Curriculum for Excellence: Draft Experiences and Outcomes Final Report

The findings of a study conducted by the University of Glasgow about the feedback and response to the Curriculum for Excellence draft experiences and outcomes.

It uses data from three main sources:

• 1762 questionnaires returned from individuals and groups
• 256 questionnaires and 127 proformas from the educational establishments which were trialling the draft experiences and outcomes
• Responses from 37 focus groups, which included parents, pupils, employers, voluntary groups and representatives from further and higher education.

In addition, a further 133 responses were received from other individuals and groups.

The Final Report collates and analyses the data, and offers a summary of the way forward for implementation of Curriculum for Excellence. The Annex contains examples of the questionnaires used in the feedback and trialling process. They were published in April 2009.
