Improving relationships and promoting positive behaviour in Scotland's schools

Good relationships and positive behaviour across whole school communities are fundamental to the successful delivery of a Curriculum for Excellence.

This publication highlights how the Scottish Government will help ensure this is achieved, by providing guidance and support to local authorities/schools on the following areas:

• promoting positive behaviour and on tackling indiscipline in schools;
• an anti-bullying strategy;
• providing information for parents on attendance and absence at schools;
• extended provision beyond the classroom;
• exclusion;
• local authority and voluntary sector networks to promote and share policy and good practice on approaches to improving relationships and behaviour.
