Righting wrongs - primary school behaviour

This case study from the TeacherNet website investigates how restorative justice can be used to deal with bad behaviour and other problems in primary schools.

Staff from Geoffrey Field Junior School and Neithrop Infants School discuss their experiences of using this approach in a classroom and playground situation.

The investigation found that the restorative approach:

  • encourages pupils to resolve their own conflicts
  • helps pupils develop mediation and conflict-management skills.
