|---|---|
| Start time | 13.30 |
| Duration | 60 mins |
| Description | The Developmental Physical Education Group at the University of Edinburgh will present the background to its Early Years Physical Education programmes. The programme focuses on how pre-school children’s balance and co-ordination experiences not only support the development of a broad movement foundation but also enable them to become effective, confident and creative learners. The presentation will also discuss the developmental links to the school age Basic Moves programme, which concentrates on the travelling and object control movements that act as the basis for participation in the more complex movement activities of later life. |
