Introduction

The Personal Support in Schools implementation team established a National Network in 2006. It aimed to facilitate the flow of information on personal support in schools and the 10 standards at national and local levels, between schools and councils, and other key agencies.

The network has played a central role in collecting and sharing good practice across Scotland. The network has representatives from each council area with a responsibility for personal support in schools. 

This work is being continued in the context of the entitlement to Personal Support encapsulated within Curriculum for Excellence.
