Ipsos MORI’s independent report on the Consultation on the Next Generation of National Qualifications in Scotland has now been published on the Scottish Government website. The consultation which was launched on 10 June 2008 and ran until 31 October 2008 comprised a number of strands: a written public consultation, associated consultation events and qualitative research with key stakeholders. Ipsos MORI was commissioned to analyse the consultation responses, sample findings at the events and to undertake and analyse the qualitative research.
The Scottish Government is currently working closely with the Curriculum for Excellence Management Board on issues raised by this helpful report. An announcement on the way forward on National Qualifications will be made before the end of the current school year in June.
