Scottish Parent Teacher Council (SPTC)

The Scottish Parent Teacher Council (SPTC) is the national organisation for Parent Teacher Associations (PTA) and Parent Associations (PA).  The SPTC offers help and advice to all parents and the website provides leaflets, publications and answers to the most commonly asked questions.


Scottish Network for Parental Involvement in Children's Learning (SNPICL)

The Scottish Network for Parental Involvement in Children's Learning (SNPICL) aims to promote, support and develop professional practice in the involvement of parents and carers in their children's learning. 


Scottish School Board Association (SSBA)

The Scottish School Board Association (SSBA) has a membership comprised of Parent Teacher Associations, Parent Associations, School Associations, and others with an interest in education.  The SSBA provides help and clarification of School Board legislation and the website also provides details of publications that are for sale and of available training courses.


Effective Partnerships with Parents

Effective Partnerships with Parents aims to help schools meet the challenges of developing greater parent and community involvement.  The website provides a Toolkit with a sustainable strategy for parent and community involvement and a wealth of back up materials, advice and policies.


The Parent Institute

The Parent Institute provides family involvement information.  There are a variety of newsletters and over 200 parent guides, booklets, brochures and videos on parental involvement with the aim of building children's school success, responsibility and self-esteem.


ContinYou

ContinYou works with a range of professional people, organisations and agencies to enhance what they do to change lives through learning.  ContinYou develops projects that enable families to learn together, allows individuals of all ages to acquire new skills and for practitioners to reach out to the most vulnerable groups.


Parents in Education Research Network (PERN)

The Parents in Education Research Network (PERN) is a network of indivduals and organisations concerned with the promotion, dissemination and application of research about the participation and effects of the family in the education of children.
