Out of School Hours Learning

Perth Primary

After running separate activities and groups for both children and schools and local parents, it was decided to encourage families to have fun together and learn together within a school environment.

A series of family holiday activities, including trips away and activities within local schools, were held. These activities were so successful it was decided to keep the family activities going one night a week throughout the school year and thus the Family Club was started.

With activities including healthy eating, sports activities, and arts and crafts, it was hoped that parents would view schools as welcoming community resources for both themselves and their children, and carry the activities over into their own homes.
