These resources have been prepared as part of the Assessment is for Learning programme to assist schools in sharing the Mathematics 5-14 criteria with parents.
Each booklet provides parents with information on what their child will learn, examples to illustrate each outcome and examples of activities they can undertake with their child to support the development of those particular concepts.
Staff may wish to use the materials to support pupils who have found a concept difficult to grasp, have had a period of absence or to extend the more able pupil.
The materials are arranged by 5-14 level with the ‘Primary’ section containing graphics and activities appropriate to anticipated age of pupils studying each level. The materials within the ‘Secondary’ section contains graphics and activities more appropriate to the older pupil therefore staff may wish to select materials from this section for pupils in P 5-7 working within the earlier levels.
