Here the images have been grouped into suggested topics or ideas, as used in the National Qualifications Course Arrangements documents for Art and Design. It should be noted that these topics are only suggestions. In fact, it has only been possible to give one suggestion here, but some works fall into more than one category.

Portraiture

A form of art which shows a likeness of a particular individual subject. In the past, the main focus of portraiture was the representation of people, but animals and even buildings may also be the subject.
