About the resource database
What resources are there?
The resource database is a catalogue of teaching and learning materials to support a wide range of NQ Courses and Units. It also includes advice for managers on delivery of NQs. Many of the resources listed, produced by the following organisations, are freely available to download.
Learning and Teaching Scotland
- titles in the National Qualifications Curriculum Support (NQCS) series
- NQCS titles to support revised Arrangements arising from the SQA's NQ subject reviews
- open, flexible and distance learning resources (OFDL)
- titles from the former Higher Still Development Unit (HSDU)
Other support materials
LT Scotland makes resources available from Scottish local authorities, the Scottish Further Education Unit (SFEU), the Colleges Open Learning Exchange Group (COLEG), and from individual teachers and lecturers.
How do I obtain resources?
Carry out a subject search and click on 'view' to find full descriptions of resources to support NQ Units within that category. Where copyright permits, resources can be downloaded free as Word, PDF, PowerPoint or Access files. If materials are available in print or on CD-ROM only, details are provided on how to contact the producer to obtain copies.
How do I download files?
There are 'tool tips' below the details of each resource with advice on how to download files.
