The Devil in the Kitchen

The Devil in the Kitchen is a very popular strathspey, which is commonly used to accompany the highland fling. Although, traditionally the fiddle and voice were used to accompany dancing, it is usually a piper who would play for highland dancing these days.

The small notes are grace notes, which occur frequently in piping. The notes in the box are called a birl.
