Searching using keywords

Yahoo! can also be used like any other search engine. You type in a keyword or words and the program goes away and finds you pages to match your requirements, listing them in order of relevance. The challenging bit is finding the right keyword or words to get you the information you want.

At the Yahoo! Home Page there is a search box where you type in your keyword or phrase. This is also where you select how much of the Web to search through.

Let's try it out by carrying out a search for information on Star Trek.

• Type Star Trek in the search box.
• Click on UK only.
• Click on Search.
