Website of the Month - SCHOLAR

NQ Online continues to build upon its collection of useful websites. Every month, one of these new web links is given the accolade of website of the month.

This month's selection, SCHOLAR, supports learners studying National Qualifications subjects. Created by Heriot-Watt University, this online learning resource aims to improve student choice and flexibility, helping students progress between school, college and university. The SCHOLAR programme also provides a route into a career in science, engineering and modern languages.

Scottish Education Awards 2009

Celebrate the success of Scotland’s schools by making your nominations for this year's Scottish Education Awards.

The Scottish Education Awards are a celebration of the good practice and innovative developments taking place in Scottish education. The awards highlight best practice in Scottish classrooms, celebrate schools and acknowledge the dedicated individuals who devote their lives to helping young people fulfil their potential.

Nominations for the Scottish Education Awards can be made until Friday 27 February 2009 and awards will be given across 17 categories, details of which can be found on the website.

Please note nominations have now closed, but you can still visit the Scottish Education Awards website for information about the 2009 ceremony.
