Poppyscotland launches poetry competition for schools

As part of its education project highlighting the importance of remembrance, Poppyscotland together with the Scottish Poetry Library have launched a poetry competition for schools.

Aspiring poets are tasked with penning up to 30 lines of verse inspired by a series of topical photographs.

There are two categories, aimed at P4 - P7 and S1 - S3, with prizes including digital cameras and poetry workshops for both the winning pupils and their schools.
