Autumn 2008 sees many of the action points in the We Can and Must Do Better report coming to fruition.
Four regional events in October and November will be an opportunity to reflect on what we have achieved locally and nationally to improve outcomes for looked after children, young people and care leavers. Delegates will also have the opportunity to discuss what more needs to be done.
Organised by the Scottish Government and CoSLA, the events are aimed at senior managers working in services for looked after children and young people.
Adam Ingram, the Scottish Government Minister for Children and Early Years, will deliver the keynote speech and answer questions at each event, followed by presentations and facilitated discussions on the key areas of health, education, aftercare and being looked after at home. There will also be a showing of a film made by young people.
