National conference on improving community support for young people leaving care

The Scottish Throughcare and Aftercare Forum invites corporate parents, policy makers, service providers, managers, practitioners and young people to come together for its 10th anniversary annual conference on 14 November at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow.

Speakers include:

  • Adam Ingram, Scottish Government Minister for Children and Early Years, on corporate parents and community planning
  • Lord Robert Smith, of the Smith Group, on More Choices, More Chances for care leavers
  • Bridget McConnell, Chief Executive of Glasgow Culture and Sport, on how culture and leisure providers can act as corporate parents.

This event offers a unique opportunity to build links and share practice with the diverse range of professionals working in your own area to improve support for young people leaving care, as well as to learn about and help shape national developments.
