A new section of the Enterprise in Education website has been published with ideas and examples for building  partnerships to support Curriculum for Excellence.

Partnership with Employers, developed by Learning and Teaching Scotland and the Determined to Succeed programme, has videos showing successful partnerships in all 3-18 settings with businesses, voluntary and public sector organisations and parents. The partnerships projects focus on many different areas of the curriulum including music, sustainable development, technology, media, employment skills, fashion and more.

The resources also include video interviews with young Scottish entrepreneurs to inspire and motivate young people, discussions of what entrepreneurism means and tips on starting a business.

There are comprehensive CPD resources; through a series of movies, downloadable resources and interactive activities, teachers can gain knowledge and build their confidence in working with businesses to enhance the curriculum.

Training materials are available for download which can be used by local authorities as part of training courses in raising awareness of employer engagement and setting up partnerships.
