The Scottish Government and Learning and Teaching Scotland have published a new website for people who work with looked after children and young people.

Adam Ingram, Minister for Children and Early Years, announced the new resource at an event about corporate parenting in East Lothian on 6 May.

The aim of the website is to support improved outcomes for all looked after children, young people and care leavers by providing information, resources, news and networking opportunities to those who support them and others who have an interest in this area - including children and young people themselves as well as parents and carers.

The site was developed in response to Action 8 of the 'Looked After Children and Young People: We Can and Must Do Better' report. Published last year, the report provides a framework for action for improving the educational outcomes of looked after children and young people.

The site also has a private members' area which is for people with an interest in supporting looked after children, young people and care leavers. It provides a forum for networking, discussion and sharing practice.
