Edinburgh Book Festival programme out now

The programme for the Edinburgh International Book Festival is out now, with booking opening on Friday 20 June.

As well as the huge numbers of visiting authors, there are several events of particular interest to educationalists.

  • Curriculum for Excellence: Learning for all, Professor Brian Boyd, Wednesday 13 August, 5pm

  • Storytelling in schools, Bea Ferguson, Wednesday 13 August, 6.30pm - 8.30pm

  • Inclusion and achievement, Professor Martyn Rouse, Friday 15 August, 5pm

  • Charles Leadbeater discusses how the web is changing the world, Monday 18 August, 8.30pm

  • Neuroscientist Susan Greenfield discusses technology and individuality, Tuesday 19 August, 1.30pm

  • Sharing stories with children, Bea Ferguson, Wednesday 20 August, 5pm to 7pm

  • Graphic novels, Brian Talbot, Friday 22 August, 11am - 12.30pm

  • Writing for video games, Brian Baglow, Friday 22 August, 2pm - 3.30pm

  • Graphic novels, Hannah Berry, Alan Grant and Bryan Talbot, Friday 22 August, 8.30pm

There's also an extensive programme for schools, many events for children and other events aimed specifically at young adults.
