Curriculum for Excellence and the Review of National Qualifications

Following the announcement made on 24 April, Fiona Hyslop MSP, Scottish Government Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning, has launched the formal consultation process on a review of National Qualifications in the context of Curriculum for Excellence.

The consultation document will be accompanied by a series of events and seminars to give the education and wider community a chance to discuss the issues involved.

Fiona Hyslop encouraged the public to take part by highlighting the 'need to develop the next generation of National Qualifications to meet the needs of Scotland in the 21st century'. She continued, 'By doing so, we can achieve our ambitions to create a more successful Scotland'.
