George Orwell's diary to be published as a blog

The diary of British writer and essayist George Orwell is to be published day by day as a blog 70 years after it was first written.
The diary starts on 9 August 1938 and includes insights into Orwell's personal life (including details of how many eggs his chickens lay each day) and his political thinking in the run-up to the Second World War. The diary ends in 1942.
The blog is being published by The Orwell Prize, Political Quarterly and the Media Standards Trust.
Another famous diary published daily via a blog is Samuel Pepys' diary, written in 17th-century London.
