• Access Network
  The Access Network has been set up for teachers of Access units and clusters in Scotland. The blog enables teachers to keep up-to-date with the group’s activities and meetings.
• Applied Educational Research Scheme (AERS)
  AERS conducts research to benefit school education in Scotland. Led by a consortium of three Scottish universities, it explores issues affecting teachers, learners and managers, and other areas such as governance and leadership, citizenship, and educational inequalities.
• BT Education Programme - Communication for Life
  This is a free resource for citizenship education in secondary schools, but requires registration. The 'Schools Question Time' pack, developed in partnership with the Institute for Citizenship, contains lesson plans and activities for inside and outside the classroom. It has student cards, teacher's notes and posters.
• Eco-Schools
  Find out how your school can enter for the Eco-Schools award scheme. The aim of the scheme is to get whole school communities to work together to improve their environment, to encourage citizenship and to promote healthy lifestyles.
• Education for Citizenship
  Find out exactly what is meant by education for citizenship and get information and advice on developing citizenship activities in your school.
• How Good is Our School?
  A series of self-evaluation publications using performance indicators for school managers and teachers (2002 edition).
• Measurement of the Impact of ICT on Children's Education (MIICE)
  The MIICE project focuses on measuring the impact of ICT on the education of young people in Scottish schools and involves most Scottish local authorities and teacher education institutions. The MIICE website has recently been expanded to include publications such as toolbox material and discussion papers.
• One Scotland. Many cultures.
  This website is part of a campaign organised by the Scottish Executive to tackle and eliminate racism in Scotland. It describes the history of migration to Scotland and the experiences of the groups of people who now live in the country.
• ScotXed - Scottish Exchange of Educational Data

  The ScotXed programme supports the effective and secure exchange of data to provide access to high quality information in Scottish school education. It is a partnership programme, involving all parties in the Scottish school education system.
