Chemistry - one new resource for Access 3:

• Teacher's notes and student materials for units 1-3
  Covers each of the units and sections in detail, with student materials, summary notes and revision exercises. Teacher's course notes have also been included along with a list of informative educational videos.

• Health and Food Technology support materials

  This resource contains 11 booklets, each comprising three separate lessons for each study section, all of which have been written with the learner in mind. Each lesson lasts one hour, although the intention is that the learners work at their own pace through each lesson. There are also activities, self-assessed questions and tutor-submitted assessments.

Website of the month - www.RSC.org/education

The website for the Royal Society of Chemistry contains a wealth of information, embracing all aspects of chemistry that would be of interest to practitioners of science. One of the features is a database that gives access to developments in key areas of chemical research, including accurate, detailed information which would allow teachers to consider different perspectives when teaching specific topics.

There is also an online journal covering a range of topics, which is very up to date and topical in its content. Online teaching resources, including science games are also available and are free to download.
