Francesco's video diary for June: transcript

Hi, it's Francesco. It's a video diary for June.

Well, basically, I don't have to go to the class. I just work on producing materials and translating things, doing registrations - nothing else. Sometimes it happens that I can stay home, because some schools where I go just for one hour, where I used to go just for one hour per week, they don't need me any more. So I stay home and write stuff for the schools.

The most difficult part has been the beginning, because you have to get used to a different city, to different lifestyles. And you have to deal with so many people and sometimes you're gonna have some problem with the language.

The best part, I think... Well, maybe now at the end, just for the weather, and just because you are more... Well, you are more used to the place where you live. So I think it will be the best part now.

A lot of assistants have decided to come back next year, but personally, I don't think I will go back - come back here. Maybe sometimes, just for some vacation, but not to stay, not to work. I enjoyed the year, but Glasgow's definitely not my city. I don't like it because it's too chaotic, maybe just busy, like big city, like 600,000. And I really miss my city - quite small city compared to Glasgow. Probably it's one of the differences that make me wish to go back. Of course, the place where you stay change your opinion, and forms your opinion.

OK, well, after this year spent in Scotland, when I go back to Italy I will try to finish my career and then search for employment.

But having spent one year in Scotland will help me for a job. I think it will be a bit easier because English is pretty much valued in Italy, so theoretically, it will help me, I hope, quite a lot!

Thank you for following my video diary and goodbye.
