The resource we've featured is the collection of listening and speaking exercises to support the teaching of Simplified and Traditional Mandarin at Access 3 level. This resource, produced by the LTS National Qualifications team, consists of audio files, transcripts, exercises and background information.

Mandarin resources on Chinese Lessons website. There are sections on sounds and tones, grammar, skills such as saying greetings and introductions, and vocabulary. Each word or phrase comprises the Chinese script, the pinyin (or Roman script version), the English translation and a useful audio rendition by a Chinese speaker.

Hundreds of pinyins, their pronunciation and their Chinese equivalent on the Feng Shui website. Pinyins are the Romanised versions of Chinese characters. There are also easy-to-follow instructions for drawing the Chinese characters.
