Taxi

Most pupils will know writer and director Luc Besson as the director of sci-fi flick The Fifth Element. This is anything but: Marseilles plays host to a mad taxi driver Daniel (Nacéri) who’s not averse to doing 120mph in the winding streets of the Côte d’Azur. He ends up helping the police with their enquiries – as their driver in a quest against daring bank robbers. OK, it’s not Advanced Higher material, but it makes a great end-of-term Francophile flick to keep the punters happy.
