Authors talking about writing for teenagers and how to develop writing ideas

The authors discuss their writing techniques, how they develop their particular style of writing and where their writing ideas come from.


Tim Bowler was born and brought up in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, the setting of his first novel, 'Midget'.

'Dragon's Rock', a thriller set in Devon, was Tim's second novel. This was followed by 'River Boy', which won the Carnegie Medal, and his fourth novel, 'Shadows', won both the Angus Book Award and the Lancashire Libraries Children's Book Awards.

His next book, 'Storm Catchers', won the South Lanarkshire Book Award and the Stockton Libraries Award. 'Starseeker', a book about a musical prodigy, was shortlisted for the Lancashire Libraries Children's Book Award. Apocalypse was released in 2005 and his latest book, 'Frozen Fire', was released in 2006.
